What is this?

GlassMC is a long-running “vanilla(*)” server operating on and off since around 2016.

While the name survives from 2016, the current world dates to roughly 2021, with some structures surviving from 2018.

How do I join?

You can join anytime.

If you want to build, you must be allowlisted. Use the form below.


Player Commands

Entity Information

/howmany — Shows how many entities are within a 32-block radius.

/totalhealth — Shows the combined health of all entities within that radius.

Sidebar & Homes

/sidebar — Toggles the scoreboard/sidebar.


Homes System

/glasshome <name> — Teleports you to a saved home.

/setglasshome <name> — Creates a home.

/glassdelhome <name> — Deletes the named home.

  • Cooldown: 5 seconds
  • Max homes: 3

Experience Management

/gxp withdraw <amount|all> — Converts XP from your bar into XP bottles for storage.

Warps

Use /warp <name> to teleport.

EvenMoreFishing

/emf gui — Opens the EvenMoreFishing GUI with fish, rarities, collections, and stats.

/emf sellall — Sells all EMF-Fish in your inventory.

Death & Recovery

/dback — Returns you to your death location if you have at least 1 XP level.

Private Messaging

/msg <player> <text> — Sends a private message.

/r <text> — Replies to the last private message.

LevelledMobs — Mob scaling works

Mobs scale with the player, distance from spawn, Y-level, and more, see for yourself:

Ok but what does that actually mean?

  • custom: Mob difficulty scales 1.5× per level.
  • custom_special: "Special" mobs deal extra damage equal to 20% of their base attack.
  • custom_nether: Nether mobs get a random ±3 variation plus scaling from player strength.
  • custom_end: End mobs behave similarly: tho there is some extra randomness and player-based scaling.

In practice???

  • Mobs grow stronger deeper underground.
  • Surface mobs near spawn stay weaker.
  • Your gear influences mob strength.
  • Nether/End mobs are more random.
